"What Is Student Voices?"
Student Voices is Impact Sac's way of connecting people to power. This event brings together Influential Listeners, those whose professional decisions directly affect the lives of young people, to sit with youth and engage in real, meaningful conversation. Students take the floor to speak their truth about self-identified key issues in their community, sharing their needs, their experiences, and their vision for the future. The goal is simple: give youth the platform to be heard and ensure the people with the power to create change are in the room listening.

In May, Influential Listeners will engage over 100 youth as experts on how violence, mental health, and substance misuse can each lead to another, and invite them to recommend real solutions to break the cycle. This year, we are excited to partner with UC Davis as 5 selected youth will play an active role in developing the questions that shape this critical conversation and will receive a stipend for their contribution. We are currently identifying high school students and administrators who want to be part of this powerful moment.
